🔥 It's going to be 93° today... and your body is going to be working overtime to keep you cool.

Heat-related illnesses can sneak up on you faster than you think, especially if you work or spend long hours outside.

⚠️ Those at the highest risk include:

🚜 Farmers and ranchers
⚡️ Utility workers and linemen
🚧 Construction and road crews
🌾 Landscapers and lawn care professionals
📦 Delivery drivers
🚴‍♀️ Athletes and outdoor fitness enthusiasts
🎡 Event staff and festival workers
🚔 First responders, firefighters, and law enforcement
☀️ Anyone spending the day at the lake, ball fields, parks, or chasing kids outside

🥵 Heat exhaustion is your body's warning sign.

Symptoms can include:
• Heavy sweating
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Headache
• Nausea or vomiting
• Muscle cramps
• Weakness or fatigue
• Rapid pulse
• Cool, clammy skin

🚨 Heat stroke is a medical emergency.

If someone develops:
• A body temperature of 104°F or higher
• Confusion or altered mental status
• Loss of consciousness
• Seizures
• Hot, red skin (with or without sweating)

➡️ Call 911 immediately. Heat stroke can become life-threatening very quickly.

💧 The best treatment is prevention:
✔️ Drink plenty of water (don't wait until you're thirsty!)
✔️ Replace electrolytes if you're sweating a lot.
✔️ Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
✔️ Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
✔️ Avoid the hottest part of the day whenever possible.

If you do end up feeling dehydrated or are experiencing symptoms of heat exhaustion, IV hydration can help replenish fluids and electrolytes much faster than drinking fluids alone.
