Three years ago today, my life changed forever.

I was paralyzed, sinking face down underwater, certain I was going to die. The next day, I woke up in the hospital with a breathing tube down my throat, trapped in a body that couldn’t move.

So much has changed in the last three years, yet so much has remained the same. My incredible family and support system have been beside me through every setback, every victory, and every step forward. Their love has never wavered.

Today, I reflect on the life I had, the life I lost, but also the life I gained and the life I earned.

Three years later, I’m stronger than I ever imagined, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually. I’ve learned that while people can love you, support you, and lift you up, no one can choose your mindset for you. Every day, you decide who you want to be. It’s never too late to change your perspective, to keep moving forward, or to become stronger than you were yesterday.

For a long time, I wondered what life was supposed to be. Through all of this, I realized it’s about people. It’s about connection. It’s about the moments we share with the people we love. Those are the things that matter most.

Live in the moment, because you never truly know how quickly life can change.

Today, I’m grateful for every challenge, every lesson, every person who’s stood beside me, and every single day I’ve been given.
