May is mental health month so let's focus on some tips you can use to improve your own!

Sleep is a critical thing for proper brain health, energy throughout the day and being able to achieve what you want to though we don't always get the amount we need. Here are some tips to help calm your body down so you can get proper rest through the night.

First keep as consistent a schedule as possible, the more you can stick to a consistent time frame the better your body is able to adapt.

A calm bedtime routine gets your brain in the right mode for sleep instead of passing out when you get tired enough. This helps regulate the proper hormones needed for deep sleep throughout the night.

Unwinding in the evening with some light exercise like 10 minutes of yoga really helps the muscles relieve stress and work out any tight areas that can keep you tense when you're laying down. Adding gentle stretching when you get home from work helps relieve the tension built throughout the day, especially mental stress.
