🍔❤️ We're grateful to once again partner with Luce Line Brewing for this fun community event benefiting Hammer & NER!

Every ticket purchased helps support adults with developmental disabilities as they pursue lives of opportunity, purpose, and connection. Thank you to Luce Line Brewing and this year's restaurant competitors for turning great food into meaningful impact.

On Sunday, two groups from Plymouth Covenant Church came out to our McGlinch and Lawndale homes to do yardwork.

Volunteers weeded the yards, laid sod on bare areas, created a raised bed vegetable garden, and planted annuals and perennials.

They did it all before the rain started! Thank you to the church members who reach out to us each year and help to beautify our homes!

"It's so awesome to be on your own and be independent."

Three people supported by Hammer & NER recently shared their stories in a video featured at the Eden Prairie Community Foundation's EP Gives gala.

The video highlights how supported apartment living helps people with disabilities build independence, create connections, and truly make a place their own. Grants from the Eden Prairie Community Foundation have helped support community activities and moving expenses, opening doors for more people to access these opportunities right here in Eden Prairie.

We're grateful for the Foundation's partnership and everyone who supports their mission of strengthening the Eden Prairie community.

🇺🇸 This Memorial Day, we remember and honor.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.

In honor of the holiday, our Wayzata and White Bear Lake offices are closed today. We encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy—and the heroes who made them possible.

A History of Innovation

More than 103 years ago, a young nurse at the Faribault State Hospital, Alvina Hammer, saw the shameful plight of individuals with developmental disabilities. She and her friends opened the Hammer School — a home-like setting with a loving environment that focused on abilities, not disabilities.
