Every rehab journey is different, but for one of our patients, the road to recovery led her right to becoming a 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡 🏆🥍

Huge congratulations to one of our former North Greece patients, Danielle Mojsej ( #7), and the Florida Southern Women's Lacrosse team on winning the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗡𝗖𝗔𝗔 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗜 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽!

Danielle came through our doors a few years back after an ACL injury, so it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch her continue to grow and succeed throughout her collegiate career. Florida Southern defeated Maryville 9-7 in the championship game to bring home the program’s second NCAA DII crown! 👑

We’re incredibly proud of you, Danielle, and grateful we got to be a small part of your journey. Enjoy every second of this moment… you earned it! 💪

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿…👏😳

Today’s 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘁𝘆𝗨 session on the 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 + 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 came with a pretty entertaining role reversal.

Because our three orthopedic residents recently studied this topic in their residency program, they got the chance to take over portions of today’s hands-on lab and step into the instructor role… while our usual educators, Shaughn Regan and Dan McGuffie, volunteered to be the “patients.” (Talk about trust — letting fellow clinicians literally get their hands around your neck 😅)

𝗔 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗻 & 𝗗𝗮𝗻 for not only leading today’s session, but for always creating the kind of learning environment where mentorship goes both ways.

And of course, 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 — the team of mentors/teachers who are helping shape these clinicians every step of the way. Plus 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮, our leader of professional growth, for helping foster a culture where learning never stops.

This is what 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒚 looks like: hands-on learning, great mentorship, and the confidence to eventually pass that knowledge along. 💪📚

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a progressive disease that affects movement, strength, and independence—but no one facing ALS should have to navigate that journey alone.

While physical therapy cannot stop the progression of ALS, it can play an important role in helping individuals maintain mobility, manage discomfort, improve safety, and preserve independence for as long as possible.

That support may look different at every stage—stretching, balance work, mobility assistance, equipment recommendations, caregiver education, or simply helping make day-to-day life a little easier.

This month, we honor the strength of those living with ALS, their loved ones, caregivers, and the healthcare teams providing support throughout the journey. 💙
