It is really important to wash bottles & ni***es before use. In this example, I show how sometimes a piece of silicone is leftover after the process of creating bottle ni***es. This would be easily removed with washing, but would probably not be removed by steam sterilization alone.

If you have multiple flow rates of the Dr. Talbot's ni***es, in this video, I show you how to tell which ni**le is which.

The Preemie is labeled (in REALLY small letters) as "XS."
The Slow flow is labeled as "S"

The Dr. Talbot's bottles can be self-sterilized. In this video, I walk you through how to put it all together to sterilize in the microwave.

The Dr. Talbot's bottles both have a 3 piece venting system, similar to the Dr. Brown's or Munchkin Bond venting systems, but with one extra silicone piece.

The ni***es for both of the Dr. Talbot's bottles are most easily inserted into the collar from the top (instead of pulling the ni**le through from the bottom).

Dr. Talbot's has two product lines - the Silicone bottle and the Anti-colic bottle. The ni***es are very similar, but the Silicone bottle ni***es are a little bit wider at the bottom.

A couple of other helpful tips.

1. You really need to screw the collar onto the bottle tightly to avoid leaking. The good news about this is that the vent is not built into the collar, so you can tighten it as much as you need to without worrying about it disrupting the vent.

2. Avoid squeezing the two buttons on the side while feeding the baby or else you will sq**rt milk into their mouth. The good news is that little hands who may be exploring the bottle won't be able to do this on their own. And if you accidentally squeeze one side, it doesn't do anything either. Just avoid squeezing both sides at the same time.

Inserting & removing the PopYum ni**le from the bottle collar can be a little tricky. I found that the easiest thing to do is to sort of fold it, get it lined up, and then let go to allow it to open back up. Then, give a little tug and make sure it lays flat within the collar and you're good to go.

To remove the ni**le, press down on one edge of the ni**le to make it fold, then remove.

When you go to purchase replacement ni***es for the PopYum bottle, it can be a little confusing. The ni***es are different than any other kind out there and kind of look like a whole bottle by themselves.
