Ive been fortunate enough to have trained thousands of clients over a span of 37 years now. Tonight I start with a brand new client which is always one of the most exciting times. He has requested a full fitness assessment. This is absolutely one of the most important componenets to anyones fitness program.

A science based body assessment helps me and the client to see where their fitness levels are on Day 1. It also helps to create accountability to both the trainer and the client. It shows when results are actually being attained with measurable results.

Typically I don’t do the second assessment for at least six weeks. Watching the pot boil is never a good idea!! I want my clients to understand that it’s a process and we didn’t get to the position we are in overnight. I want them to understand that health and fitness needs to be sustainable and not some thing we fix quickly. Typically a well designed program should show significant results in about 2 to 3 months assuming the client isnt going home and sabataging themselves. And by the way a good trainer can always tell when a client isn’t doing what they say they’re doing at home. In the end the measurements and photographs never lie.
