From the time we got to build and giveaway some of our purifiers to a teacher with Long COVID.

Classrooms are such a vector for disease spread. If only teachers and students were supported and better protected through actual, verifiably effective clean air policy and resources.

William is here to answer your questions about cleaning the air, and anything else you want advice about! First up: what to do when company comes over? Want to host but worried that your guests will get you sick? (Or vice versa?) Here are the main areas to focus on: ventilation, isolation/testing (before meeting up), and of course, filtration. Wanted to share this part we had to cut for time but is such an important message about why we must keep fighting for protecting kids in the place they spend the most time--schools. Thank you for those of you who haven't given up.

Do plants actually purify indoor air? (How many of you bought a snake plant after reading that Buzzfeed list 10 years ago that said which plants NASA recommends?)

But no, the answer is that plants don’t make a sliver of an improvement. So what DOES make a noticeable difference in cleaning the air in your home? As discovered—the CleanAirKits Luggable XL Ultra gives you high CADR, but hardly any noise.

Classroom unsafe air upgraded to filtered + clean air — thanks to these two types of air purifiers!

A teacher with Long Covid reached out for help staying safe in the classroom — and with William’s help (assembly and delivery!), we were happy to provide a huge boost in cleaner air to reduce illness transmission.

After their school stopped maintaining air purifiers purchased during the earlier emergency phase of the pandemic, they were left without reliable protection from repeated infections. For someone with Long Covid, that can mean worsening health and potentially leaving a career they love.

So we helped equip their classroom with:
* Two Luggable XL Ultra air purifiers including mesh filter guards for added sturdiness
* One Exhalaron for added desk-level protection
Together, this setup delivers more than 1,000 CFM of clean air and ~8.6 air changes per hour — helping protect both the teacher and their students.

Airborne illnesses like measles, flu, and C 19 are a big problem. Clean air in schools isn’t a luxury — it’s a foundational tool for protecting students, educators, and communities. In fact, most community illness spreads through kids — and schools are where exposure often begins.

You can replicate this in your school! A classroom setup like this can often be funded by parent groups or community donations for approximately $30–$40 per student.

We can’t fulfill every request like this, but this is exactly why CleanAirKits exists: to show what’s possible and help keep teachers teaching and students learning.

We’d love to hear how you use or would use air purification tools like these. And thank you to William for assembling and delivering the purifiers!
