For those who had the honor of knowing Tom, the world feels like an empty place without his bright light in it. A forever prankster, he always had the biggest smile, the largest laugh, and a twinkle in his eyes. His happy place was in the woods, with his dogs, and with his friends that were like family. Also good coffee, his Tevas, and ice cream.

Most people don’t truly understand the depths of how depression can affect people, until it’s much too late. I certainly did not. Tom’s death has forced me to learn and accept more in life and about life, that I ever was capable of understanding prior to his passing. While I would give anything to have him back, I know it’s my job now to take his story and further the mission of reducing stigma, especially in men’s mental health.

You are not alone. Tomorrow needs you. 💜🩵
