🌞 Hot weather is here, and it’s important to know the signs of heat-related illness.
Our bodies do an amazing job of keeping us cool by sweating and increasing blood flow to the skin. But when temperatures climb, humidity is high, or we're working hard outside, sometimes our bodies need a little extra help.
Keep an eye out for symptoms like:
💧 Excessive thirst
😴 Fatigue
😠 Irritability
🌿 Heat rash
💪 Muscle cramps
😵 Dizziness
🤢 Nausea
🥵 Heat exhaustion
The most serious heat-related illness is heat stroke, and it is a medical emergency. Warning signs can include:

⚠️ Slurred speech
⚠️ Disorientation
⚠️ Loss of consciousness
If you suspect someone is experiencing heat stroke, move them to a cooler area, begin cooling them immediately, and call 911 right away.
With temperatures rising, remember to stay hydrated, take breaks when needed, and check in on coworkers, friends, and family members who may be spending time in the heat. Stay safe out there!
