Due to severe chronic illness and disability, I have to take a leave of absence from work and cannot give my two youngest children the Birthday parties I promised them. My insurance suddenly decided to stop covering the one medication that allowed me to function at all. My husband works very hard and makes good money, but he is also chronically ill and disabled and all of our money is going to bills and healthcare at this time. We now cannot afford to give the kids the parties we had planned for them. I am down to working 3 hours a week and can barely manage that, and that is going against doctors orders. Depending on if I can get access to my medication back, Christmas may be up in the air as well.
Rose will be 12 on October 7th and Rory will be 10 on October 25th. Our mailing address is 1016 Archers Way Wendell NC 27591 if you would like to send them birthday cards. Or you can send an email to them congratulating them on their birthdays at [email protected] (which is a supervised and monitored email address). My kids have autism and ADHD and will not understand why they won't get a birthday party this year. If you feel so moved to choose to buy a gift from their amazon wish list that they put together, it need not be anything flashy or overly expensive, but it would be extremely appreciated. It is just a list of things they like and threw together with our help. It is not expected, but would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want them to feel as though they have done something wrong to not get the usual gathering with lots of friends and gifts. I just want them to know people care. Perhaps it's my fault for over spoiling them on special days their whole lives...
Any show of kindness is a blessing.
