When I turned 38, my body suddenly felt like a stranger.
Out of nowhere, the weight started creeping on without a single change to my diet or workouts. Sleepless nights became my norm, accompanied by persistent brain fog, unexplained anxiety, burnout, and chronic low back pain. I simply didn’t feel like myself anymore.
I saw six different healthcare providers searching for answers. Each time, I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and completely frustrated.
Everything changed when I found MIDI Health. Getting properly evaluated and diagnosed with both a sluggish thyroid and perimenopause was the turning point. Starting hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and targeted thyroid support was an absolute game changer. Most recently I have been able to optimize my hormones with a local clinic . It's been life changing.🫶

Today, I woke up, looked in the mirror, and thought: "This is the best I’ve felt since I was 38". I feel energized, rested, clear-headed, and truly young again.
That frustrating chapter sparked a deep mission. I dove into clinical research, specialized courses, and medical literature so no woman in my circle would ever have to navigate this transition alone, unguided, or dismissed.
Whether you are navigating perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause, optimizing your hormones and your daily habits is the foundation for genuine longevity and vitality.
My 6 Non-Negotiable Foundations for Thriving:

Prioritize 7+ hours of quality sleep every single night.

Move daily by hitting 10,000 steps alongside intentional mobility and stretching.

Fuel with 25g+ of dietary fiber each day for metabolic and gut health.

Lift heavy with structured strength training at least 3 times a week.

Ground your mind and spirit by starting each morning with 15 minutes of scripture and reflection.

Cap added sugars at under 25g daily to protect your energy and insulin sensitivity.

You don’t have to settle for just surviving your midlife transition. You deserve to feel vibrant, strong, and at home in your body again.

Let’s bust this myth and get you the support you deserve!
It's a common belief that pain with intimacy is just something to expect during menopause. But that’s simply not true. Pain is a signal that something is off, and it's not normal at any stage of life.

There are two key factors often at play during menopause that can contribute to this type of pain:

Hormonal Changes: Estrogen decline can lead to changes in vaginal tissues, making them thinner, drier, and more sensitive.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction: The pelvic floor muscles can become overactive, tight, or weak, all of which can contribute to discomfort during intimacy.

The good news is that there are effective treatments available. Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy can be incredibly beneficial. A physical therapist specializing in this area can work with you to:
Identify and treat pelvic floor dysfunction
Learn exercises to relax or strengthen pelvic floor muscles
Improve tissue health
Address postural and alignment issues that can impact pelvic floor health
Don’t suffer in silence. Understanding the root cause of your pain is the first step toward finding relief. If you are struggling with pain during intimacy or have other concerns about your menopause transition, I am here to help.
Sign up for a Menopause Transition Consultation today. Let’s create a personalized plan to improve your pelvic health and help you thrive through this stage of life.

Urinary leakage is common, but that doesn’t mean it’s normal or something you just have to live with!

If you’ve been told to "just do more Kegels," there’s a big piece of the puzzle missing. Here’s what actually helps stop leakage and get your quality of life back:

✨ Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy Your pelvic floor muscles need to be both strong and flexible.

If muscles are weak: They can't support your bladder under pressure (like a sneeze or heavy lift).

If muscles are tight/overactive: They’re constantly tense and can’t contract properly when needed. A pelvic PT helps address both weakness and tightness so your muscles actually function the way they should!

✨ Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) Estrogen plays a massive role in maintaining the health, elasticity, and blood flow of the urinary tract and pelvic tissue. When hormone levels drop (like during perimenopause or menopause), tissue thins out, which can trigger or worsen urinary leakage. Restoring optimal hormone levels (if clinically appropriate for you) can restore tissue integrity.

Imagine living without:

❌ Planning your day around bathroom stops

❌ Worrying every time you jump, run, or laugh

❌ Wearing a panty liner "just in case"

Living leak-free isn't just about convenience—it’s about getting your confidence, freedom, and quality of life back.

According to the National Association for Incontinence, one in four women experience urinary leakage. Research shows fewer than a quarter of them ever seek help.

While it’s often brushed off with jokes or treated as an inevitable part of getting older, bladder leaks are no laughing matter. For many, they are embarrassing, disruptive, and isolating.

Let’s set the record straight: leaking urine is NOT a normal or a required part of perimenopause, menopause, or aging. Estrogen shifts can affect pelvic tissue, but leakage is NOT something you just have to accept.

Research shows that 80% of women see significant improvement in urinary leakage with pelvic floor physical therapy. You deserve to laugh, sneeze, exercise, lift, run, and live without constantly worrying about where the nearest bathroom is.

Don't settle for living with leaks, there is real help available. Our goal at the Menopause Transition Coach is to support your body through every transition so you can live life to the absolute fullest.

Perimenopause Myth #1: Urinary leakage is NORMAL. 🛑
Let’s clear this up: while urinary leakage is common during the perimenopause transition, it is actually not considered normal—meaning you don't have to just live with it!
Here’s what’s actually happening: as estrogen levels drop during perimenopause, our tissue health changes. The lining of the urethra becomes thinner and less elastic, blood flow to the area decreases, and the pelvic floor muscles tend to lose strength.
The good news? There are highly effective ways to treat this!
✨ Pelvic floor physical therapy
✨ Hormone therapy (vaginal estradiol)
Both can be incredibly beneficial in restoring function and comfort during this transition.

Did you know that the shifts happening during menopause go far deeper than just hot flashes?
As our estrogen levels naturally decline, it fundamentally changes how our bodies function on the inside. Here are three critical areas affected during this transition (swipe to see the full breakdown!):
🦴 Bone Health: Lower estrogen means a loss of bone density, which significantly increases the risk of osteoporosis.
❤️ Heart Health: Estrogen helps keep our blood vessels flexible and regulates cholesterol. Without it, the risk of cardiovascular issues rises.
🌱 Metabolic Health: A shifting metabolism makes it much easier to gain weight, particularly around the abdomen.
These physical changes are real, but they don't have to dictate your quality of life. Understanding what is happening to your body is the first step—knowing how to support it is the next.
As a Menopause Transition Coach, I work with you to navigate these changes head-on. Together, we’ll build a personalized plan focusing on lifestyle, nutrition, and holistic strategies to protect your bones, heart, and metabolic health so you can feel strong, vibrant, and in control.
You don't have to figure this out alone. Let's thrive through this transition together. ✨

Let’s talk about a game-changer for your menopause journey: strength training! 🏋️‍♀️💪
As highlighted above, picking up some weights or doing weight-bearing exercises is crucial for a number of reasons during this transition:
✨ Bone Health: Strength training slows bone density loss and can reduce the risk of osteoporosis. This is so important as estrogen levels drop!
✨ Muscle Mass: It helps preserve the muscle that we naturally start to lose with age, keeping us strong and preventing weakness.
✨ Metabolism Boost: More muscle means a faster metabolism, which can make managing menopause weight gain much easier.
✨ Balance and Stability: Improved coordination and balance reduce the risk of falls and injuries, keeping us active and independent for longer.
You don't need to be a bodybuilder to reap these benefits. Starting small with light weights, resistance bands, or even bodyweight exercises can make a huge difference.
