✨ Alcohol is a Carcinogen. Let that sink in ✨
Alcohol is classified as a Group 1 carcinogen—the same highest-risk category used for substances known to cause cancer.
And it’s not just heavy drinking that matters. Cancer risk can increase with alcohol consumption, even at lower levels.
Alcohol is associated with an increased risk of several cancers, including:
• Breast cancer
• Colorectal cancer
• Liver cancer
• Esophageal cancer
• Mouth & throat cancers
Your risk generally increases as alcohol intake increases. So let’s take a step back and realize that “social drinking” is not harmless and that maybe it’s time cultural perspective changes.
