For me I’ve been told to always thrive for better, from each of my mentors, from all walks of life. My goal is not to be in competition with anyone else but who I was yesterday. I use to watch others and wonder why or how they were able to progress so fast, but now understand that their path is theirs and mine is for me. I cannot compare my journey with anyone else.

So I’ll sit here and learn from others and continue to educate myself. My journey is just starting.

This piece came from a place of reflection.

The owl represents wisdom earned through experience…learning to see clearly even in the dark or uncertain seasons. The rose is beauty that endures. Even when worn down by time, it still stands.

The weathered texture is intentional. Life leaves marks on all of us. Those marks aren’t flaws…they’re proof of growth, survival, and becoming.

I created this design during a period of slowing down and taking inventory of where I’ve been, what I’ve learned, and who I still am at the core. Some things change. Some things stay rooted.
