We always prioritize saving natural tooth, but when a tooth is absolutely non-restorable, implants are the best option to mimic natural tooth.
This patient was given additional options to extract the tooth, do a partial denture or bridge, or do nothing. Patient chose to replace the tooth with an implant for the greatest long term prognosis, longevity, and health.
Not only are first premolars important aesthetically as they are in the visible smile line, but they are also very important in efficient and healthy chewing function!
