Heading to Salt Lake City for the Tilt-Up Convention and Expo? Nicholas Vogt will be there representing Upside Innovations starting tomorrow. Exterior stairs, ramps, and entry platforms can add coordination challenges as final inspections approach. Visit Booth #3011 to discuss how Upside can help address those needs on your next tilt-up project.

Bring your exterior access plans and talk with Nicholas about keeping that work moving toward inspection.

Clean, repeatable welds ensure industrial access platforms stand up to continuous daily traffic.

At Upside Innovations, we manufacture 100% of our products in the US. Our robotic welding cells handle high-volume, repetitive passes with exact tolerances in our domestic facility, while our experienced fabrication team programs, fixtures, and inspects each run, applying their craftsmanship to custom geometries and structural assemblies.

Talk with an Upside regional manager about your upcoming projects and how our domestic manufacturing footprint protects your delivery schedule.

Are your loading dock heights actually matched to the trucks you’re loading? In North America, most docks are built in the 48–52 inch range to line up with standard semi‑trailers - but box trucks, straight trucks, reefers, and containers all sit at different heights. Getting that wrong can create safety risks, equipment damage, and slower loading.

Upside’s Loading Dock Guide breaks down typical bed heights by truck type and explains how dock levelers expand your safe operating window, so you can design docks that work for your real fleet - not just the “standard” trailer. Read more: https://bit.ly/4fmszVi

An elevated building entrance leaves no room for guesswork on code compliance. When an exterior doorway sits several feet above grade, fitting an approach means navigating tight sidewalk clearances, turn-radius requirements, and ADA or IBC slope ratios. Pouring custom concrete ramps or waiting on structural steel fabricators ties up site access and delays certificate of occupancy deadlines.

The APEX System uses modular aluminum stairs, switchback ramps, and integrated canopies that bolt together without field welding. Components arrive pre-engineered and ready to install directly over existing pavement, matching your exact threshold height while satisfying local building codes.

Bring your raised doorway elevation and site constraints to the Upside Innovations team. We'll map out a code-compliant ramp and stair layout that fits your footprint.

The trailer is parked. Your crew still needs a way inside. At the rear doors shown here, the trailer floor sits well above the pavement. Getting people in and out calls for an access setup that reaches the opening and supports their footing along the way.

Upside's SemiStep provides non-slip steps for that climb, with a platform at the trailer entrance. The stairs are relocatable, so the access setup can move when your needs change instead of remaining tied to one position.

Talk with an Upside access expert about how your crews enter trailers and how often that location changes. We'll improve the access setup with you.

An HVAC unit needs a defined service approach, not just a reachable location.

This Little Rock, AR installation added a maintenance platform and step at the equipment, creating a dedicated approach for routine service. The equipment area now has a clearer access point for the personnel responsible for maintaining the unit.

Bring difficult HVAC or mechanical-equipment access points to the Upside Innovations team.

The modular building was in place. Safe access had to follow.

At an Integrated Modular construction site in Dallas, Upside Innovations installed a prefabricated access ramp suited to the building and site conditions. The ramp gave the project a practical entry point while work continued around the structure.

Bring your site access challenge to the Upside Innovations team before the building is ready for use.

Rooftop generator maintenance requires a stable path over roof elevation changes. At a Reston, VA commercial facility, prefabricated aluminum stairs were installed to provide direct access to rooftop standby generators on a parking structure. The bolt-together aluminum design met access needs without heavy equipment or hot work on the roof deck.

Talk with an Upside expert about building access stairs into your equipment layouts.
