I have a massive secret I’ve been keeping, and I can finally share it with you: I WROTE A BOOK! 🎉📖

For decades, I have watched incredible, disciplined clients sit across from me in tears, asking the exact same question: "Tanya, I know exactly what I should be eating. Why can't I just STOP?"

You’ve been on the chronic dieting merry-go-round. You white-knuckle your way through the week, but when the house gets quiet at 8:00 PM, you find yourself staring into the pantry. And the next morning? The heavy cloak of shame tells you that you lack willpower. That you are a failure.

I wrote Food Isn't The Problem to tell you the absolute truth: Emotional eating is not a moral failure. It is a trained neural response.

Your body isn't broken; your brain is just doing what it was taught to do when life feels heavy. It’s time to stop fighting the food and start understanding the behavior. We have to learn how to identify the "Yellow Light" triggers before we crash into the red light of a binge.

I am so incredibly proud of this new book! It officially launches in a few weeks, but the Kindle version is available for PRE-ORDER starting today!

You can be physically full and still craving cookies — and that’s okay. 🍪

If you’ve ever wondered “Why couldn’t I stop?” after a balanced meal, you’re looking at the Dual State: body satisfied, heart still needing care. That craving isn’t a failure of willpower — it’s information. It’s telling you something about stress, loneliness, or the need for a pause.

Try this the next time the urge shows up: pause, place a hand on your chest, and name it — “My body is full, and something in me still needs care.” Then ask a simple question: What do I actually need right now? A text to a friend, five minutes of quiet, a warm shower, or just permission to rest can feel different than reaching for another cookie.

Track the moments for a week: fullness (1–10), your emotion (nervous, tired, lonely), and a real need. Patterns will emerge, and with those patterns comes choice — not shame.

Learn more:

The body and heart do not work in neat categories. You can have a stomach completely satisfied with fuel and a heart desperate for comfort. That is the Dual State. Food can answer physical hunger. It can give your body energy, nourishment, and satisfaction. But food cannot fully answer loneliness, s...

Stress shows up at work — and so do the ways we eat to cope. At LIT Wellness Solutions, we believe emotional eating education and compassionate nutrition counseling are practical, human-centered tools that help teams feel steadier, more focused, and more resilient.

Instead of quick fixes or shaming, supportive programs teach real-life skills: simple meal planning for busy shifts, noticing hunger vs. stress, managing cravings without guilt, and protecting the small routines that keep people performing at their best. When leaders protect breaks, offer inclusive options, and include confidential counseling, employees notice — and so do results in focus, morale, and retention.

Food is not the whole story behind workplace performance, but it is part of the daily system that helps people think, regulate emotions, recover from stress, and show up with steadier energy. That makes emotional eating education and nutrition counseling a practical, human-centered investment in cul...

Feeling stuck in the emotional-eating loop? You’re not broken — your brain learned a helpful tool, and with curiosity (not shame) you can add more options. This roadmap breaks change into simple, kind steps: notice the pattern, name the trigger, understand the need, experiment with small swaps, and plan for real-life moments. Try one pause this week: ask “What do I need right now?” and pair food with another support (a walk, a text, or five slow breaths).

We focus on non-diet strategies that help you build a kinder, steadier relationship with food — and the same approach helps workplaces build healthier wellness cultures. Want more practical steps? One small step — one kinder question — can start lasting change.

Food can become a very reliable coping tool. That doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means your brain learned something that worked at some point. Food may have helped you calm down, stay awake, feel comforted, numb out, or get through a hard moment when nothing else felt available. The first step i...

You don’t have to treat your body like a project or a numbers game. Start small. Start kind. Our latest post outlines a non-diet approach using five simple pillars—nutrition, hydration, movement, stress care, and sleep—to help you fuel your life (not punish it).

Try one tiny action this week: add protein to one meal, sip water between meals, walk 10 minutes after dinner, pause for five breaths before eating, or start winding down 30 minutes earlier. These small habits support appetite, strength, mood, and long-term health—especially if you’re using or considering weight-loss medication.

We help people and organizations move from chronic dieting to mindful, sustainable habits that protect energy, muscle, and wellbeing. The body is not a bank account. Food is not a deposit. Movement is not a withdrawal. When health gets reduced to math alone, people often end up feeling judged, hungry, tired, or stuck. A different path starts with a simple shift: the goal is to fuel the body well and support daily life, not to outs...

Eating well is about more than what’s on your plate — it’s about why, when, and how you eat. 🌿

Before your next bite, try this simple experiment from our latest blog: pause for a moment and ask, “Why am I eating?” Notice whether hunger is physical or emotional. Check in halfway through your meal. Put your utensil down between bites. Let satisfaction — not stuffing — be your goal. Small, compassionate shifts like these help digestion, energy, and a kinder relationship with food. ✨

Whether you’re ending chronic dieting or building a workplace wellness culture, mindful eating is one practical tool that supports lasting change across the five pillars of health: nutrition, movement, stress management, hydration, and sleep. Want guidance on applying this in daily life or at work? Read more and get practical steps on the blog. 👇
