Today, we are highlighting the Nephron machine shop and the skilled work that helps keep our lines running.
With laser cutting, welding, and CNC machining in-house, our team can design, repair, and fabricate parts that support our production lines. This shortens repair lead times, strengthens maintenance support, and helps reduce downtime when equipment needs attention.
For our CEO Lou Kennedy, this investment carries a personal meaning. Her father, Jerry Wood, was a machinist and leader in South Carolina manufacturing whose impact is still felt in the Midlands. On what would have been his 89th birthday, we are reminded that precision, craftsmanship, and practical problem-solving can shape families, careers, and communities for generations.
Investing in our machine shop reflects that belief. It supports reliable manufacturing today. It also creates a place where machinists, welders, fabricators, maintenance technicians, engineers, and hands-on problem-solvers can build skills that matter.
Thank you to the team behind the sparks, steel, measurements, and precision that help keep Nephron running strong in South Carolina.
