As communities come together this month to celebrate LGBTQ+ pride, visibility, and resilience, we’re reminded of the importance of connection, acceptance, and mental wellness for all.
At NAMI Connecticut, we believe that mental health care should be inclusive, compassionate, and accessible. Pride is not only a celebration, but also a powerful reminder of the strength found in community and the importance of being seen, heard, and supported.
As you attend local Pride events this month, take a moment to check in with yourself and those around you. Whether it’s sharing space, listening, or offering support, small actions can make a big difference.

At NAMI Connecticut, we recognize that mental health matters for everyone—and that members of the LGBTQ+ community may face unique challenges that make access to support and understanding even more important.
Throughout Pride Month, we’ll be sharing resources, information, and opportunities for connection focused on mental health and well-being in the LGBTQ+ community. From educational content to support options, our goal is to help create a space where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.

Because of your energy, outreach, fundraising, compassion, and community spirit, NAMIWalks Connecticut 2026 became something truly meaningful and unforgettable.

You brought together friends, families, coworkers, neighbors, and communities from across our state to stand up for mental health awareness and support one another. Every conversation, every shared post, every donation, and every person you invited helped strengthen the mission of NAMI Connecticut.

Thanks to supporters like you, we are able to continue providing free mental health education, support, and advocacy programs to communities across Connecticut, and we are so grateful.

And the impact doesn’t stop on Walk Day!

Our office will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.
Today, we honor and remember the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of the true meaning of this day—reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.
