Film Screening & Q&A: Who Am I?

This documentary shares the life story, philosophy, and wisdom of Dr. Mingjie Wu. Teaching and practicing medicine in both China and the United States, Dr. Wu preserves and transmits traditions and practices that have become increasingly rare in modern society. He encourages and guides people to reclaim their inner power, deeply explore the question “Who am I?”, and cultivate balance and wellness in life.

His teachings are profound and heartfelt, and the interactive discussions are deeply moving. The stories and experiences shared are both touching and inspiring, filled with strength and triumph. Hosted by me, Rebecca Emken, a Tui Na Acupressure practitioner at the Wu Healing Center in Maynard MA. I’ve been serving tea in the Chaozhou Gong Fu Tea Ceremony for almost three years. I’m a disciple of Dr. Ming Wu, a master of Chinese Medicine.

In November 2025, I went to China on a three week journey to learn about Chaozhou culture. I learned from Yi Mo Tea House in Guangzhou, and personally experienced how the Gong Fu Tea Ceremony is embedded in Chaozhou culture.

In this Gong Fu Tea Ceremony, you will learn about the six types of Chinese teas, and their various tastes and properties.

You’ll taste three premium quality teas, with floral aroma, smooth texture, and sophisticated flavor.

You’ll experience tea served in the the Gong Fu ceremonial way, which brings out the rich, multilayered flavor profile of the teas.

You’ll receive a packet of tea to take home and enjoy.
