Today we celebrated the incredible Certified Nursing Assistants of West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center! 🎉

Our CNAs are the heart of what we do, providing compassionate care, comfort, and support to our residents every single day. Their dedication, kindness, and hard work make a difference in countless lives and help make our facility feel like home. 🏡❤️

Our parking lot transformation is moving right along at West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center!

This week, crews worked swiftly to remove the old asphalt and lay down a beautiful new surface. It has been impressive to watch the process unfold—from milling to paving—in just a matter of days. 🚜⚙️🛣️

A special thank you to General Paving & Construction for their hard work, professionalism, and attention to detail throughout the project. 👏 We were also fortunate to have cooperative weather ☀️ that helped keep everything moving smoothly and on schedule.

We appreciate the patience of our residents, families, staff, and visitors during this improvement project. The finished product will provide a safer, smoother, and more welcoming experience for everyone who visits our campus. ❤️

It’s Food Safety Week! 🍽️🧼

Did you know that our Dietary Department saves samples from every food served at every meal and stores them for 5 days in the event testing is ever needed? Food safety and infection prevention are priorities we take very seriously at West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center.

We also maintain a food service license through the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District and are subject to multiple surprise inspections each year.

Thanks to our terrific Dietary team and staff, our inspections are consistently top notch! 👏❤️ Thank you for all you do to keep our residents safe while serving delicious meals every day.

We are so grateful for Dr. Martha Kurilec and her amazing team, Maggie, Nancy and Ray, who provide compassionate dental care to our residents right here at West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center.

During CPR & AED Awareness Week, we are proud to recognize the importance of lifesaving training and emergency preparedness at West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center ❤️

Our staff are fully trained in CPR, and we conduct frequent drills to ensure rapid response and confidence in emergency situations. We also have an AED conveniently located on our Bliss Unit should the need ever arise.

Preparation, teamwork, and ongoing education help us provide the safest possible environment for our residents, visitors, and staff every day. Thank you to our dedicated healthcare team for always being ready to respond! 👏Pictured is Prince with our AED located on the Bliss Unit.

June is Audiobook Month! 🎧📚

At West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center, our Recreation Department maintains a large catalog of audiobooks for residents to enjoy. Whether it’s mystery, history, romance, or classic favorites, there is something for everyone!

We are also proud to partner with the State of Connecticut Libary, allowing access to an even larger library of audiobooks and resources for residents with visual impairments. We also provide the tape player
