Sara Bareilles’ words about the “messy middle” are powerful and something we know that so many here can relate to. 🧡

This “ish” or in between space is something we talk about often here…the part of the journey without a neat resolution, but where we somehow keep showing up and showing up for each other. Pregnantish was born during year five of Andrea’s own messy middle, and the community here helped carry her forward.

Sara also spoke beautifully about the women walking into fertility clinics every day and just how brave and vulnerable that act can be.

We agree. 🧡 Thank you Sara Bareilles and Zach Sang Show

On this I’m thinking of those here who are mourning the loss of embryos and babies never met but that I know you love deeply.

I’m also thinking of the deep heartache those who have had stillborn babies or who lost infants have. The depth of this pain is so deep and I hope a rainbow comes for you in whatever form that brings you light.

I intentionally don’t often post here about my daughter, but wanted to share (especially for all our many new followers who may not know my personal story): after more than 7 years, major surgeries, pregnancy losses and 18 fertility treatments, I wasn’t sure I’d ever meet a ‘rainbow baby’

I started pregnantish in year 5 of treatments/trying and I was so lost. At that point we had gone through a lot of heartache, including 2 gestational surrogates who dropped out on us, and I couldn’t see my way to a path. We were exhausted and had exhausted our resources/$$, too, and then something miraculous happened...

Juju Chang and ABC News/Good Morning America shared my rainbow baby story and the moment that changed everything.

Wishing you more rainbows than storms ahead 🧡 Andrea

“I didn’t realize I was part of the IVF community until I was.”

Many of you know Ally Johnson () from KROQ’s The Klein Ally Show - or learning about her from our post featuring Ally last week, where she courageously shared her fertility journey in real time, including IVF injections live on air and the heartbreaking moment she revealed an unsuccessful IVF cycle to listeners who had been cheering her on every step of the way.

In this special Pregnantish Pride Month episode, Ally joins Andrea Syrtash for an honest conversation about family-building with her wife Katie, navigating donor conception, secondary infertility, IVF, loss, hope, and the surprising power of community.

This episode is funny, vulnerable, emotional, and deeply relatable for anyone navigating secondary infertility, donor conception, IVF setbacks and also anyone grateful for this community that they didn’t know they needed.

Link in bio. Listen wherever you get your podcasts and/or watch more of Ally’s interview with us on pregnantish on YouTube

Thank you to our episode sponsor, Bundl Fertility (), for helping make fertility care more accessible through multi-cycle IVF packages and refund programs, including for same-sex couples who may want to pursue reciprocal IVF. Learn more at Bundlfertility.com

Today we are recording the pregnantish podcast with comedian and radio host who has been doing (fertility) shots live on air on her hit radio station in LA and showing what as she and her wife try to have a baby via IVF and expand their family.

We’re grateful that she’s showing the reality of what this looks like. No doubt SO many here can relate to this moment she captured on her show 🧡

The pregnantish podcast episode with Ally will be live in late June. In the meantime, she just had a transfer and we’re rooting for her (& anyone here also in the wait!)

Has anyone here found tracking ovulation or decoding things like FSH, and LH confusing or overwhelming?

We recently got a press alert about Inito fertility's new Inito InSight Wireless Reader™ and were intrigued by the many positive testimonials. That led us to partner with Inito for a deeper look at what makes its fertility monitor different—and to hear directly from women with PCOS, unexplained infertility, and recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as fertility specialists who support its use.

One woman we spoke with, Sarah, who was diagnosed with unexplained infertility & spent years tracking with apps, strips, and spreadsheets but felt she had “fertility data without understanding,” shared she felt Inito helped her conceived.

Read our latest reported piece, “Inito Fertility Monitor Reviews: What Women Trying to Conceive Experienced”. Thank you to Dr. Lora Shahine, Dr. Sasha Hakman, Dr. Roxanne Pero, and others who contributed their expertise and stories.

First Response has been reaching out via DM. While nothing has been shared publicly yet, we do appreciate that they’re listening and taking steps to learn.

At the same time, this isn’t a “nice to have” level of awareness—it’s foundational. Any brand operating in the fertility space should understand that infertility is not niche. Pregnancy loss is not niche. A significant portion of people buying pregnancy tests are hoping, dreaming, and grieving…not just dreading 2 lines.

For context, we worked with this brand in the past for years, and in many ways they showed up for this community more than some other pregnancy tests the category. That history matters.

So the question becomes: can they win back trust?

For us, it’s possible, but it depends on what comes next. Listening is a start; but real accountability and public acknowledgment are what rebuild trust—not just for us, but for the entire community.
