Today we are recording the pregnantish podcast with comedian and radio host who has been doing (fertility) shots live on air on her hit radio station in LA and showing what as she and her wife try to have a baby via IVF and expand their family.

We’re grateful that she’s showing the reality of what this looks like. No doubt SO many here can relate to this moment she captured on her show 🧡

Has anyone here found tracking ovulation or decoding things like FSH, and LH confusing or overwhelming?

We recently got a press alert about Inito fertility's new Inito InSight Wireless Reader™ and were intrigued by the many positive testimonials. That led us to partner with Inito for a deeper look at what makes its fertility monitor different—and to hear directly from women with PCOS, unexplained infertility, and recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as fertility specialists who support its use.

One woman we spoke with, Sarah, who was diagnosed with unexplained infertility & spent years tracking with apps, strips, and spreadsheets but felt she had “fertility data without understanding,” shared she felt Inito helped her conceived.

First Response has been reaching out via DM. While nothing has been shared publicly yet, we do appreciate that they’re listening and taking steps to learn.

At the same time, this isn’t a “nice to have” level of awareness—it’s foundational. Any brand operating in the fertility space should understand that infertility is not niche. Pregnancy loss is not niche. A significant portion of people buying pregnancy tests are hoping, dreaming, and grieving…not just dreading 2 lines.

For context, we worked with this brand in the past for years, and in many ways they showed up for this community more than some other pregnancy tests the category. That history matters.

So the question becomes: can they win back trust?

For us, it’s possible, but it depends on what comes next. Listening is a start; but real accountability and public acknowledgment are what rebuild trust—not just for us, but for the entire community.

(A key mission for us at pregnantish!) Advocates joining us are currently IN it and reflect this reality so well 🧡

After years of treatment, it can feel hard to keep moving forward without changing anything, especially when the path ahead looks like more of the same. 

Ideally we feel confident with the fertility specialist and clinic we work with (that’s key!) - but we also know that some here have tried approaches they feel have worked, and we want to give space for crowdsourcing this with the caveat that one size doesn’t fit all when it comes to getting or staying pregnant! 

What have you tried that’s “out of the box” that you feel helped or that you wish you knew about sooner?

This isn’t a substitute for medical advice, of course; but we know crowdsourcing from our community oftentimes helps.

IVF is back in the news and politicians, not reproductive drs or specialists, are “educating” us about it. (ICMYI: IVF coverage for military families was recently stripped from the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act with some citing concerns over “ethical handling” of embryos.)

PSA for those who don’t know:

NOBODY wants our embryos to be children more than this community! If only every embryo became a baby after IVF …
