Lupus in the News: A recent study found that, memantine, an Alzheimer’s drug, significantly improved lupus brain fog! This trial was small and there are side effects, but this represents a big step toward possible new treatments for cognitive symptoms of lupus, which can affect up to 80% of patients!

Lupus in the News: Two new Phase 3 clinical trials are looking for patients with cutaneous or skin manifestations of lupus – a specific condition of lupus that has yet no FDA approved treatments! The studies involve enpatoran, an oral medication taken twice per day, that showed skin improvements in Phase 2 trials.
