Do I need a referral?

No referral is required—but we will gladly accept referrals.

What insurance plans will you accept?

We plan to accept most insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and most commercial plans.

We are still completing credentialing with several providers, so some plans may be pending when scheduling begins.

What services will you provide?

We plan to offer a full range of dermatology services including Mohs micrographic surgery with Dr. Marshall, who is board certified in Mohs surgery by the American Board of Dermatology.

When can I schedule?

We anticipate opening our schedule on October 12.

Our new website will launch that day, and our phone and fax numbers will be posted on our website and page.

Building a dermatology practice takes a village… and apparently a few kids and a Jack Russell terrorist. šŸ˜‚

We’ve put our kids to work helping us get West Plains Dermatology ready to open. There has been plenty of actual work accomplished… along with a healthy amount of climbing on boxes, flooring-box shenanigans, questionable OSHA practices, and general chaos. šŸ˜†

And, of course, Benji ā€œLord Wesseltonā€ Marshall, our resident Jack Russell terrorist, has been on site keeping morale high, supervising operations, and making sure productivity never gets too high. 🐶

This practice has truly become a family project. There have been a lot of long days and late nights getting everything ready, and we’re incredibly grateful that our kids have been right there in the middle of it with us—making memories (and occasionally making more work šŸ˜‚) along the way.

West Plains Dermatology is getting closer every day, and we can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you in!

Thoughts from Dr. Marshall…

Why am I starting West Plains Dermatology?

Apparently, so I can clean toilets. šŸ˜‚

These days, you’ll find me doing a little bit of everything—cleaning, painting, moving furniture, assembling equipment, and doing whatever needs to be done to prepare this space for our amazing patients.

And honestly, there’s something pretty special about getting my hands dirty and building this practice from the ground up.

For me, West Plains Dermatology is about family, community, and excellence.

Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients from West Plains and the surrounding communities. I’ve seen firsthand how important it is for families to have access to exceptional dermatology and skin cancer care close to home.

I want to build a practice where patients are treated like neighbors, families are cared for like family, and our community has access to cutting-edge treatments and the highest standard of dermatologic care—without having to leave home.

Most importantly, I want West Plains Dermatology to be a practice that our community can be proud of: locally rooted, family-focused, and committed to excellence for generations to come.

To everyone who has encouraged us, shared our posts, stopped me around town, or sent us a message—thank you. Your support means more than you know.

We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you in November.

Until then… I have more toilets to clean! šŸ˜‚
