Thank you for contacting the Agency of Commerce & Community Development concerning the new Work Safe additions to the Stay Home, Stay Safe order. Thank you for requesting additional guidance about the Governor’s Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive Order. The Agency of Commerce and Community Development has recently updated guidance for more than 30 sectors on its website HERE. In addition, the Agency has updated its frequently asked questions .
HEALTH AND BEAUTY businesses must continue to suspend in-person operations under the Governor’s Executive Order. Gyms, fitness studios, salons, spas, and other similar businesses and the retail operations that support these businesses should not operate, including employee-to-employee interactions within the business. In the days and weeks to come Governor Scott and his team will work to restart Vermont’s economy in the wake of COVID-19. Understanding the need to restart the economy as soon as possible and improve our overall social wellbeing, we cannot allow for a resurgence of COVID-19 that would undermine the important public health outcomes achieved to date.
We realize this is a trying time for all businesses and industries that make up the fabric of who we are as a state. We thank you for your patience as we work to responsibly put mitigation strategies in place that will slow the spread of COVID-19.
