Valencia believes massage therapy was something she was naturally called to do from a very young age. Although she has been practicing professionally for 18 years, she says her gift first revealed itself around age 11, when family members would regularly ask her to massage their shoulders after long days of work. Even then, she realized her hands instinctively knew what to do.
Before pursuing massage therapy full time, Valencia worked in a law firm, an experience she credits for shaping her professionalism, attention to detail, and work ethic. Eventually, she realized she wanted a career that felt more fulfilling and decided to return to school for massage therapy. Even after nearly two decades in the industry, Valencia still considers herself a student at heart and believes there is always more to learn, refine, and grow into, which is something that continues to shape the thoughtful, personalized care she gives each client.
Valencia’s approach to massage blends relaxation with intentional, therapeutic bodywork tailored to each client’s individual needs. She is passionate about helping clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and take time for their own wellness, often reminding them that self-care and healthcare are not luxuries, but something people truly deserve. She also finds great purpose in working with seniors and clients navigating conditions such as MS, valuing the trust and relationships built throughout their wellness journeys.
One of Valencia’s favorite parts about working at Blu is the supportive, family-like atmosphere and the opportunity to continue growing within her craft. Outside of the spa, she spends much of her time caring for her mother, enjoying time with her grandchildren, and expressing her creativity through interior decorating and home renovation projects. Her passion for helping others, combined with her calming and intentional approach to care, allows every client who walks into her room to feel genuinely supported, restored, and cared for.
