My name is Michael Loffredo and I am president of Phalang-EASE Mittens®, LLC. My mother, Marita, has severe rheumatoid arthritis. As the disease progressed, her hands
became very disfigured and she could not find warm winter mittens to fit. She
decided to design one. Her goal was to create a mitten that is easy to get on and off, not
bulky, and made of soft, warm and flexible material. The good n

not only are her mittens soft, warm and flexible, they are wind-resistant, too. The mitten has a flap on top that, when opened, makes it easy to place your hand in. When closed, the hook and loop keeps the flap secure. The mittens are one layer thick
which eliminates bulk, and the suede palm patch provides the traction you need to grab
objects. Finally, there is soft elastic at the wrist to keep the chill out. The unique design of Phalang-EASE Mittens® makes it easy for those with mild to
severe hand issues to wear mittens and stay warm. For those who need assistance
dressing, this design makes it easy for both patient and caregiver. While my mother designed these mittens with her own needs in mind, she has quickly
learned that she is not alone in the search for handi-capable mittens. Whether you suffer
with hand problems or have healthy hands, all hands can wear Phalang-EASE Mittens®.
