Today, we remember D-Day — June 6, 1944 — when thousands of brave Allied soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy in one of the most pivotal moments of World War II.

Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to freedom changed the course of history. As we honor those who fought and those who never came home, we are reminded that liberty is never guaranteed; it is protected by the selfless actions of those willing to stand against tyranny.

May we never forget the heroes of D-Day and the profound lessons their sacrifice teaches us about courage, service, unity, and resilience.

🕷️ Tick Season Is Here — Stay Safe Outdoors! 🌿

As the weather warms up and we spend more time outside, ticks become more active. Whether you’re hiking, gardening, playing sports, or simply enjoying your backyard, it’s important to check yourself, your children, and your pets for ticks after spending time outdoors.

If you find a tick attached to your skin, follow these steps:

✔️ Use fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick as close to the skin’s surface as possible.
✔️ Pull upward with steady, even pressure. Avoid twisting or jerking the tick.
✔️ Clean the bite area and your hands thoroughly with soap and water or rubbing alcohol.
✔️ Dispose of the tick by placing it in alcohol, sealing it in a bag, or flushing it down the toilet.

❌ Do NOT use petroleum jelly, nail polish, heat, or other home remedies to remove a tick.

Watch for symptoms such as fever, rash, fatigue, or joint pain in the days and weeks following a tick bite, and contact your healthcare provider if concerns arise.

A few simple precautions can help keep you and your family safe while enjoying the outdoors this season. Stop by your local pharmacy if you have questions about tick bites, prevention, or insect repellent.

🚫 There is NO “pill tax” in S2345.

What S2345 does is increase transparency and accountability for Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) while helping protect patient access to their pharmacy of choice.

Supporters of the bill argue that PBM practices have contributed to rising prescription drug costs and unnecessary spending in New Jersey’s healthcare system. S2345 aims to bring greater transparency to drug pricing and ensure that taxpayer dollars are being used responsibly.

✅ Protect patient choice
✅ Increase pricing transparency
✅ Help address prescription drug overcharges

It’s time to put patients first and work toward a fairer, more transparent prescription drug system.
