Three Years Walking Together to End Alzheimer's!

What a wonderful day in Hermosa Beach!

For the third year, BrightStar Care of Conejo Valley & Coastal Los Angeles was proud to support the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's in Beach Cities.

It was inspiring to see so many people come together, carrying colorful flowers, sharing stories, and walking in support of loved ones affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias.

Every flower represents a personal connection to this cause. And every step helps raise awareness and support the fight against Alzheimer's.

Join us this weekend on Oct 17th at the Promenade in Westlake for another chance to walk for Alzheimer's

Together, we can make a difference!

MYTH: Forgetfulness is always a normal part of aging.

FACT: While occasional forgetfulness can happen, ongoing changes in memory, judgment, language, or daily routines deserve attention 🧠

If you notice concerning changes in someone you love, start with a compassionate conversation and encourage them to speak with a healthcare professional. Early support can help families plan with more confidence 💜

Thank you, case managers

It's National Case Management Week, and the theme — "driving outcomes" — fits you perfectly.

You coordinate the handoffs, make the calls nobody sees, and keep patients moving toward home. We notice. When your patients need private duty care after discharge, our team is ready to pick up where you leave off: skilled nurses, trained caregivers, and a clinical lead who answers the phone.

Thank you for the work you do all year.

If we can support a patient's transition home this week, call 805-233-3800 or 310-944-6985 or email [email protected].

Did you know? Alzheimer’s disease and dementia are not exactly the same thing 🧠

Dementia is an umbrella term for changes in memory, thinking, and daily functioning. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. Understanding the difference can help families have clearer conversations, seek timely guidance, and make informed care decisions 💜

Jill Lee has always been driven by curiosity and a desire to better understand people. After years of building a career in research, product, and marketing, she set out to find a business opportunity where she could pair her professional experience with meaningful community impact.

The search became personal after her family was unable to fulfill her mother's wish to age in place. "I wanted to make sure other families had the opportunity that we didn't," Jill shared.

As she explored franchise ownership, BrightStar Care stood out for its full continuum of care, strong support system, and collaborative network of franchisees. Today, Jill is preparing to open her BrightStar Care location with a clear mission: helping more families access the care and support they need to remain in the comfort of their own homes.

Richard Fulton path to BrightStar Care was shaped by a lifelong appreciation for service and a desire to make a meaningful impact in his community.

After building a successful career in marketing and operations, Richard was inspired to pursue business ownership by his family's experience caring for aging loved ones. Witnessing the challenges of caregiving firsthand reinforced the importance of accessible, high-quality home care and motivated him to bring those services closer to the families who need them most.

“Seeing my mom care for both of her parents really opened my eyes to just how much comes with being a caregiver,” Richard shared. “That's when I realized how important quality home care can be for an entire family.”

Today, Richard is bringing BrightStar Care's full continuum of care to the Southwest Atlanta and College Park community, combining his business expertise with a commitment to supporting families and expanding access to quality care close to home.
