How did you get started in healthcare? "Well, it all started when I began taking care of my mom."

What do you enjoy most about working at Fairmont? "The residents and my co-workers"

Words of wisdom or a favorite quote? "You can have the worst things in the world happen to you, and you can still get over it."

What is one thing people would be surprised to find out about you? "I have more than one sibling! (And despite my jokes, I really am very nice, lol!)"

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self? "Don't take life for granted."

Judy G!
Judy’s story began in Alliance, Ohio, where she was born on April 23rd, and she proudly lived in the Buckeye State her entire life.

On her very first day of college at Kent State, her life changed forever when she met Bob. Bob always confessed that he never expected to find his wife on day one of college, but the moment he saw Judy, he knew she was the one. Despite Bob being seven years older than her, their connection was instant, inspiring Judy's life advice: if you love someone and have enough in common, age is just a number.

The couple built a beautiful life together, rooted in their faith at the Presbyterian Church. Judy worked as a secretary while Bob built a career with the government. Together, they adopted two children, Mark and Lynn, and Bob proved to be a wonderful husband and a good father. Their family eventually grew to include four cherished grandchildren, with both their son and daughter having two children each.

Judy and Bob shared a love for adventure, traveling all over together and learning to play bridge, which they even played with Bob's parents. While Bob sadly passed away in his early sixties, Judy kept her love for bridge alive, still playing with her girlfriends twice a month. Though she dated a little later on, nothing could ever compare to Bob, the true love of her life.

Jessica W!

Driven by a lifelong passion for helping and caring for others, Jessica found her true calling in the healthcare field.

When asked what she enjoyed most about her role, her answer was, “Absolute, hands-down, each and every single resident. The love and joy the residents bring into my life make every day rewarding.”

Beyond her outstanding dedication to care, Jess carries a deep appreciation for life’s experiences, living by the meaningful Bob Marley quote: "Some people feel the rain; others just get wet."

Jess used to be a track and field coach for a youth team, and she once heroically saved the life of an 18-year-old victim of gun violence.

Outside of work, her world revolves around family. She is a proud parent of two boys, Robert and Keegan, who inspire her every day.

Colleen V!

Colleen was born on April 11th in Cleveland, Ohio, at St. Alexis.

She met her husband, Joe, on the bus; he flirted with her until she started talking to him. He chased her for four years before she let him take her out.
They had one son, Colin.

Colleen loves being outside. Even as a child, she’d stay outside all day climbing trees and going on adventures. Even now if it’s a nice day out, you’re sure to find her sitting outside.

Colleen loves cats and has had them almost her whole life. She is also a vegetarian. She became one many years ago after watching her brother butchering chickens.

One thing you might be surprised to know about Colleen is that she used to be a smoker.
