Pottery Day was full of creativity, learning, and hands-on fun! 🏺✨

Our learners explored different textures, shapes, and colors while strengthening fine motor skills, sensory exploration, attention to task, and creativity. Activities like pottery also provide natural opportunities to practice communication, following directions, requesting assistance, waiting, and celebrating individual accomplishments.

At I Rock Behavior, we love creating meaningful experiences that make learning engaging while building functional skills in a fun and supportive environment. We are so proud of all of our artists and the unique creations they made today! 🤍

🍳✨ Discovering Foods Week: Baking Edition! 👩‍🍳🍕

This week, our learners explored food through fun, hands-on activities designed to promote food exploration, sensory tolerance, functional communication, fine motor skills, following instructions, and independence! 💛

🥞 Day 1: Pancake Making
Practicing following multi-step directions and participating in food preparation.

👩‍🍳 Day 2: Apron & Chef Hat Craft + Cookie Decorating
Encouraging creativity, fine motor skills, and task completion.

🍕 Day 3: Pizza Making
Practicing sequencing, choice-making, and exploring different food textures.

🍿 Day 4: Snacks & Movie Day
Working on social skills, leisure skills, and tolerating a variety of foods.

Promoting independence, following directions, and sensory exploration.

🦁🐠 Week 5 of Summer was Animal Week! 🐮🦜

Our rockstars explored the amazing world of animals through hands-on activities, creativity, and play all week long! We dove into the ocean while learning about sea animals, went on a wild safari adventure, discovered the rainforest, and explored life on the farm. One of the week’s biggest highlights was our exciting in-center safari, where our learners created their own binoculars before heading off on a virtual safari adventure! 🦒🔍

To wrap up an unforgettable week, our rockstars had the opportunity to meet and interact with real animals during our Petting Zoo Day! 🐐🐰 Watching their smiles, curiosity, and excitement as they learned through these unique experiences made the week extra special. We can’t wait to see what next week brings! 💚✨

🇺🇸❤️ Week 4 of Summer was Party in the USA Week! 💙🇺🇸

Our rockstars celebrated all week long with patriotic-themed activities full of creativity, movement, and fun! They danced the day away at our dance party, explored a festive sensory bin, painted stars, created sparkle bottles, made fireworks and bald eagle crafts, and designed their own American flags. We also enjoyed a Fourth of July scavenger hunt, cooled off during an exciting Water Day, celebrated with red, white, and blue popsicles, and watched colorful firework explosion experiments come to life!❤️🤍💙

👩‍🚒👩‍⚕️🚓 Week 3 of Summer Fun was Community Helpers Week! ❤️

Our rockstars had an incredible week learning about the amazing people who help keep our communities safe and healthy! We were especially excited to welcome the BSO, who visited with their wonderful service dog, Olivia. 🐾

Throughout the week we stepped into the shoes of doctors, firefighters, cashiers, and dentists through fun, hands-on activities. They cared for teddy bear patients, played Operation, created their own stethoscopes and first aid kits, practiced brushing and flossing teeth, put out “fires,” made firefighter hats, and even opened our very own I Rock Behavior Store, where they shopped, checked out groceries, matched coins, and designed their own name tags and grocery bags.
