FUN FACT FRIDAY: FARRIER!

🤎 The farrier, or blacksmith, comes every 4 - 6 weeks to care for horses feet.

🤎 A horses hoof grows 1/4 - 3/8 inch per month.

🤎 Just like a humans finger and toenails , horses' nails need to be cared for.

🤎 Horses can be barefoot or have shoes on their feet, depending on their needs.

🤎 Farriers make sure the horses stay happy, healthy, and comfortable.

🤎 Horses provide an opportunity for students to come together and build bonds and friendships that they would not likely have otherwise.

🤎 No matter what level of rider you are, you can have the comraderie of the horse to build a bond with other riders.
