Sometimes it takes a stranger to remind you: look up. Take a breath. Give yourself permission to be real.
So here's your permission slip, caregiver
to rest and replenish.
to ask for help before the crisis, not after.
to laugh and cry in the same breath.
You were never meant to carry this alone. Joy likes company too. 🤍

If you're the one holding it all together. The appointments |the worry |the quiet bracing for whatever comes next
𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮.
Caregiving lives in the body. In the shoulders that never quite drop. The jaw that stays clenched. The breath you forget to take all the way down.
So I made you something. A short grounding meditation called Caregiver's Meditation!
Few minutes to stop holding, and let yourself be held instead.
🎧 Save this for the next hard day.

A 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 tends to your parent. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞(𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞) tends to you, the one quietly holding it all together.
One carries the weight for you. The other helps you carry it yourself steadily, without it losing who you are.
That begins with 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. Before the next plan, the next appointment, the next hard call, come home to your breath, your feet on the floor, the steady center that's yours.
And when the season passes, that grounding doesn't leave with anyone. It stays. It's yours.

The financial stress of caregiving is one of the heaviest parts.
I mean the first time I was called away from work was ok, but then it became more frequent, and if you do not live near your loved one, the cost of travel adds weight to the situation.
In-home support and navigating insurance denials, confusion and/or claims is a job onto its own.

As an integrative functional medicine health coach, I believe preparation isn't just physical or emotional. It's practical too, it protects you and supports you in the moment.

This is not grief because someone died, but more like the mourning of the person you love is changing and the person you knew as yourself to be is changing along side them.
Anticipatory grief | Ambiguous loss |Compassion fatigue
These are very real and we want to name them for family caregivers.

This is what Prepare to Care(give) holds space for, the logistics, and the full human experience of family caregiving. Journey #

Prepare to Care(give) is a coaching program for families who want to feel ready not just for the diagnosis, but for everything that arrives with it. The logistics. The emotions. The decisions. The quiet moments no one thinks to warn you about.

From my years as an Functional Medicine Health coach and Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, and from an unwavering belief that caregiving doesn't have to feel like something that happens to you.

It can be something you step into with intention, with tools, and with grace.

This program is for the ones who see the road ahead and want to walk it differently.

The finishing touches are happening now. Something good is coming so sign up for the Newsletter or email me.

You don't need a yoga mat, a gym, or even five uninterrupted minutes to take care of your body. You just need this.

When caregiving tension lives in your shoulders, your jaw, your chest — this short sequence helps you release it before it becomes pain.

Try this right now wherever you are. # Journey

Nobody warned me how much caregiving lives in the body.
The tight chest when your phone rings. The 3am wake-ups that aren't really about sleep. The way you stop noticing your own needs because someone else's needs have taken over the whole frequency.

𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 isn't only for the person who's ill. It's for the one holding the room together too.

𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐩𝐞 to see what that looks like in the middle of a caregiving season — not spa days or perfect routines, but small, real practices that help you stay intact while you show up for someone you love.

This is the work I do inside 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞(𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞).
