🌙 A FIRST FOR OUR SLEEP DISORDERS CENTER!
Elmore Community Hospital Sleep Disorders Center is excited to welcome Keionna Walker, the very first trainee in our new Sleep Technician Training Program!
Keionna brings experience in phlebotomy, dialysis, and EMS, and she is now beginning an exciting new path in sleep medicine.
Her training starts with 80 hours of classroom instruction, including written education, video training, laboratory work, and hands-on practice. From there, she will complete 16 weeks of practical experience alongside a preceptor, building the skills and knowledge needed to care for sleep patients.
But this program is about more than training it’s about investing in our people and growing healthcare professionals right here in our community.
Elmore Community Hospital is covering the cost of Keionna’s education as well as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine’s A-STEP modules, helping move her one step closer to the ultimate goal of becoming a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
We are proud to invest in Keionna as she invests her time and talents back into our hospital and the patients we serve.
Congratulations, Keionna! We’re excited to watch you grow and we hope you’re the first of many sleep technicians trained right here at Elmore Community Hospital. 💙
