“Off” Season Week 92 ✅
Average AM bodyweight: 192.4 lbs (up from 191.7 lbs 4 weeks ago). For reference: lowest prep weigh-in in 2024 was 165.1 lbs, peak ~168 lbs.
The pace of recent body recomposition has seemed to slow just a bit, but I’m still noticing regular visual improvements. I think I added more than 5 lbs of lean body mass in the past 3-4 months, at least visually, which is pretty wild. I think I’m finally in a place where my physique is actually better than it was in late 2023/early 2024 (from comparing visuals at similar bodyweight).
During the early parts of the recomp, the most drastic areas of visual improvement seemed to be in my upper body (particularly arms, delts, & midsection/abs). I think some of that might have been regain of lost tissue. My legs have also notably improved but at a slightly slower pace. When hormonal/health conditions were poor, I think I still managed to grow my legs slightly since during that time I improved my skill in training & tensioning specific parts of my legs (primarily lateralis, adductors, & hamstrings). I don’t think I had as much, or any, tissue to regain in my lower body. Now that I think my upper body seems “fully recomped” my legs seem to be growing the fastest of everything. I am interested to see how they continue to respond now that conditions for growth are much more favorable.
Outside of bodybuilding, I’m also continuing to take active steps at improving my social & spiritual life. I’m not quite as skilled in those areas as I am bodybuilding, work, finances, etc. (which makes sense given my history of effort allocation) but I need to be better in order to become the person & attain the life I envision.
