Calcium is important, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle.

Without vitamin D, magnesium, K2, and enough protein, your body can’t use it effectively.

Think supporting cast, not a solo act.

In golf, nutrition, fitness, and life… too much information all at once tends to diminish performance rather than improve it.

Sometimes the best next step is just one cue. One focus. One thing practiced consistently.

The basics done well matter just as much.

If you’re navigating perimenopause or menopause and looking for a simpler, more effective path toward optimal health, book a free discovery call.

Bone loss doesn’t suddenly start at menopause, it often begins earlier than most women realize.

As estrogen declines, your body loses one of its key protectors against bone breakdown.

That’s why what you do in your 30s and 40s matters so much.

You’re not just maintaining, you’re preparing.

And although rapid bone loss is most strongly associated with the estrogen decline of perimenopause and menopause, women with longstanding low or disrupted hormone patterns earlier in life may also want to pay attention to bone health sooner.

Let's talk about being proactive with your bones. 🦴

The DEXA scan is the gold standard for measuring bone density—but most women aren't sent for one until their 60s. The problem? Bone density can decline rapidly at the onset of menopause, often well before 60. And other factors like GLP-1s, a history of disordered eating, or prolonged low estrogen can accelerate bone loss even earlier.

My recommendation: get a DEXA sooner to establish a baseline so you can catch changes early and track your progress over time. It's affordable, non-invasive, and the choices you're making in your 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s genuinely matter for your bones.

Want to dig deeper? Check out my latest blog on bone health (link in bio), or book a free 30-minute consult and let's chat about whether this kind of testing makes sense for you. 💛

Bone health isn’t passive—it’s responsive.

Your bones are constantly remodeling based on the demands you place on them. Every walk, lift, and loaded movement sends a signal: stay strong.

Without that signal, bone density can decline quietly over time—especially with low-activity lifestyles.

The goal isn’t extreme training. It’s consistency:
• Walk regularly
• Lift weights
• Include weight-bearing movement in your routine

Small, repeated inputs create long-term strength.

Your bones adapt to how you use them. Give them a reason to stay strong.

You’re not “too young” to think about bone health, you might already be in the most important window.

By your late 20s, your bone density has peaked. From there, it’s about how well you protect what you’ve built.

Your workouts, your nutrition, your daily habits… they all add up.

Strong bones later start with what you do now.
