Twas the night before opening, and all through the gym

Not a creature was stirring—not even a Tim. 🛠️

The gis were all packed in our gym bags with care,

In hopes that the students soon would be there.

​The members were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of armbars danced in their heads.

With the floodwaters gone and the flooring pristine,

It’s the freshest new mat space that you’ve ever seen.

​When out on the floor there arose such a clatter,

We sprang from the office to see what was the matter.

The brand new mats landed, the safety is clear,

After six long-awaited weeks, REOPENING IS HERE!

​So clip down your nails and wash your gi right,

Happy reopening to all, and to all a good fight!

What an incredible morning with our community. Because of all of you, we raised $4,000 for the WeDefy Foundation - helping combat veterans overcome physical and cognitive challenges through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and fitness.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, ran, walked, donated, cheered, and supported this event. The weather was beautiful, the energy was even better, and being surrounded by such an amazing community made the day truly special.

We’re beyond grateful to spend Memorial Day honoring those who served while coming together for a cause bigger than ourselves. ❤️🤍💙

Even while our space remains impacted by flooding, our Memorial Day 5K is still happening and we’d be honored to have your support.

Join us this Memorial Day at 9am at West Park in White Bear Lake as we come together to support our veterans through the WeDefy Foundation. Flooded floors, soaked mats, and a situation we didn’t see coming…yesterday there was some work being done in the unit next to ours and a water pipe was hit. Not the kind of day we planned, but what stood out most wasn’t the damage...it was the people.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, reached out, checked in, and offered a helping hand. The outpouring of support has meant more to us than we can put into words.

This community is the reason we do what we do, and we’re incredibly grateful to be surrounded by people like you. We’ll keep you updated as we work to get things back up and running.

We’ve got some work ahead, but we’ll be back and stronger because of this community. ❤️
