We are back at St. Jude for Axel’s disease maintenance checkup! He’s in sedation now getting the scans, so I’ll update this afternoon with the results! We are facing a small bump in the road with his body no longer producing a growth hormone (side effect of radiation) We will set up treatment in December for daily shots for a few years to get him growing 💪🏻 … More details this afternoon! Hey friends! We are headed home from Memphis! We came for his 3 month scans and a lumbar puncture. Scans and cerebral spinal fluid showed NO SIGNS OF CANCER 🥳🥳🥳 Our boy is happy and healthy!!! Thank you so much to our Army for all the prayers and well wishes you send Axel! Now home to enjoy the rest of summer break!

One year ago Axel was on a ventilator with a collapsed lung. One year ago I watched my baby lay lifeless as a machine was breathing for him. One year later I watched him walk into a new school, each day with his little back pack and a smile, once again being brave. I have strength and courage, because both of my amazing sons have shown me how ❤️ I get exhausted by the end of the day but, this is my reminder of strength. He faced so much and never gave up ❤️side note: He had an amazing week “each day is better than the last!!!” Literally loves every part of school! ❤️ Thanks to my little hero for the reminder of how much can change in a year, and how strong we can become ❤️

1 year ago today Axel had his BIG brain surgery. As I watched him play today, it’s still hard for me to fathom all that he went through. He’s the happiest, silliest, sweetest little miracle. He’s laid out across his brother on the couch watching cartoons, and here come the tears for mama ❤️😭❤️! I’m just so very grateful to go from the pic on the left to now… To St.Jude and all the people along the way that quickly became family! From gifts, to money, to cards and tearful hugs, each of you made an Army of love for Axel and his family! We all love y’all so much and thank you for everything ❤️ check up scans in January and then it’s back to school!!!!!!!!!! ❤️~ Axel’s Mama
