I went looking for a place to clear my head… and Montana reminded me that sometimes the best therapy doesn’t ask you to say a word.

It sounds like wind moving through the trees. It looks like mountains holding the horizon still. It feels like cold water, campfire evenings, and the kind of quiet that makes you notice what your mind has been trying to tell you.

Here’s something I keep learning: time in nature can help your body shift out of constant go-go-go mode. Even a few minutes outside—slowing your breath, noticing the sounds around you, feeling the ground beneath your feet—can give you a little room to reset. No perfect itinerary required.

And then there’s the music. Somewhere between the trail, the water, and the mountains, I found my way back to the decks. Different setting, same feeling: being fully here, one beat at a time.

So, what’s your best therapy?
This. 🌲💧🏕️🏔️🎧

Save this for the days you need a reminder to step outside, and send it to someone who could use a little Montana magic. What helps you feel like yourself again?

The complaint is the armored version. The fear is the true one.
“What I’m actually afraid of is ___.” Finish it for yourself first. Then lead with it.

It will feel like too much. It’s almost never too much — it’s just unfamiliar.

Send this one to them or someone you love. Save it for later use đź’–

Most of the arguments that start with someone venting are not about the thing they were venting about.

They’re about one person reaching for connection and the other person handing them a solution.

Nine words: do you want help with this, or company?

Send this to them. You don’t have to say anything with it.

Comment WORKBOOK below to get the breakdown of what to do about it and my signature ROOTS method with practices and real conversation scripts to do with yourself and your partner if you choose.

This workbook is for both couples and individuals *

Love is important. But love alone is not enough to build a life with someone. 🤍

You can have chemistry, butterflies, intense attraction, and a connection that feels impossible to explain… and still be fundamentally incompatible.

Because the person you choose as your partner isn’t just the person you fall in love with. They’re the person you’ll navigate conflict with, make decisions with, build a future with, and hopefully grow alongside.

So before you choose someone based on how deeply you feel, pay attention to how they show up.

✨ Can they take accountability?
✨ Do your values align?
✨ Can you repair after conflict?
✨ Do you feel emotionally safe being fully yourself?
✨ Are you building toward the same future?

Chemistry might bring you together. But character, compatibility, and emotional maturity are what help you build something that lasts.

You don’t have to settle for a relationship that looks good on paper. But you also can’t build a healthy relationship on feelings alone.

Choose the person who doesn’t just make your heart race, but who can meet you in the reality of building a life together.

Because the goal isn’t just to be in love. It’s to build a love that’s actually good for you. 🤍

Save this for the next time chemistry makes you forget to check for compatibility.

And tell me:

Which of these 11 matters most to you? Comment below — and follow for more conversations about choosing healthier love

You can’t think your way out of the loop while you’re inside it. But you can narrate it.

“I’m doing the thing where I push.” “I’m doing the thing where I go quiet.”

Six words, mid-fight. It won’t fix the disagreement. It will stop the disagreement from becoming the thing you’re actually scared of.

Comment WORKSHOP for the breakdown.

“I need space” and “please don’t leave me” are the same moment in two different nervous systems.

The twenty minutes isn’t a technicality. It’s the difference between a break and a rupture — and it costs you one sentence.

Try it the next time. Then come back when you said you would, even if you’re still mad. Especially if you’re still mad.

Comment WORKBOOK below, and I’ll send you my couples workbook to do independently or with your partner both work beautifully.

Maybe the goal isn’t to find the person who never triggers you.

Maybe the goal is to build the kind of relationship where, when you are triggered, you know how to find your way back to each other.

Because you’re going to have conflict.

You’re going to misunderstand each other.

You’re going to activate old wounds.

The question is:

What do you do next?

Can you recognize your protective behavior?

Can you regulate before continuing?

Can you take responsibility?

Can you repair?

Can you stay curious about what your partner is protecting?

Can you stop making your partner the enemy and start making the pattern the thing you’re working against?

Instead of:

“YOU always do this.”

Try:

“Okay. We’re doing our pattern again.”

That tiny shift can change the entire conversation.

Because now you’re standing on the same side.

And there is something incredibly powerful about two people saying:

“This is what we learned. But it doesn’t have to be what we keep doing.”

That’s not perfection.

That’s partnership.

🤍

If you want to keep going deeper, comment WORKBOOK and I’ll send you my couples workbook.

And if you’re working on regulating yourself before you enter these conversations, comment REGULATE and I’ll send you my free audio guide + playlist to regulate & attract.

Save this series. Send it to your person. Come back to it when you’re ready to practice—not just understand—the work.
