Doing a Body Scan is one of my favorite practices because it brings me into the present moment and brings my awareness and attention to what is present in my physical body. That awareness of my physical body often provides clues to the mental, emotional, spiritual, and energetic factors causing stress in my body. Check out the description below to learn how to do a body scan for yourself!👇
Sit in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take slow, even breaths as you scan through the body, noticing what feels good as well as anything that feels tight, uncomfortable, or painful. I usually start with my feet, then work my way up through the calves, thighs, hips, belly, chest, shoulders, neck, and head. This is another great way to get present in the moment and notice where you are feeling sensations in the body, which can be valuable information about where you might be storing unprocessed emotions.
