The best part about being a type 1 diabetic mom… You get to go on all the field trips!!! I will carry all the juice boxes and the diabetic supplies. I don’t mind at all as long as I get to spend time with the kids and be a part of the group. I love days like this!! Making Memories 🫶🏼💙

With type 1 diabetes, you have to be super organized with all of your supplies and making sure you have everything with you, back ups at home, at school or the office, things on ordered because it’s a lifeline. And you can think you are on top of it you got this. And then your type 1 kid calls and says Mom might pump ran out of insulin at school and I have no insulin here 😔 your whole world stops and you go get that insulin no matter what you’re doing

Living with type one diabetes is a 24 hour 7 days a week it doesn’t matter if you’re sleeping doesn’t matter if you’re working doesn’t matter if you’re in school doesn’t matter if you’re in church diabetes can be stubborn  with highs and with Lows last night was the perfect example of diabetes sucking!!! 🥱

Tomorrow can be a big day for T1D families. Do your best, try to stay ahead of the glucose numbers, and the roller coasters, be bold with insulin, you can always follow it with another piece of candy. And remember stash some of that candy. They don’t need it all tomorrow. Great for Low’s ⬇️

Could not be more excited about the 2026 breakthrough T1D gala that raised over $1 million last night to fund research for things like insulin pumps, glucose monitors, and the most important a cure for type one diabetes. Way to go to St. Louis all in one night $1,000,325 ✨💙
