WILLIAMSTON — Martin County High School Basketball Coach Antonio Davis will host a basketball camp June 22-26 at Martin County High School.

Grades 3-5 will have camp from 10 a.m. until noon followed by grades 6-8 from 1-3 p.m.

Participants will register on arrival. The admission is free. The camp is open to students enrolled in Martin County Schools.

WILLIAMSTON — The Martin County Historical Society will host an information session about the Sons of the American Revolution will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23 at Shamrock Restaurant.

Chris Grimes, the National SAR Chaplain, will discuss the steps to explore if ancestors were involved in the Revolutionary War.

WILLIAMSTON — A Tennis Clinic is planned for Friday, June 26 at the West End Tennis Courts.

Those in fifth grade and under will meet from 9-10:30 a.m. and those in sixth grade and up from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

The cost is $10 and registration takes place at the Ga***rd Perry Center.

Farmers Market reopens

WILLIAMSTON — A Grand Re-opening is planned for the Martin County Farmers Market from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, June 27.

Visitors will see the renovated farmers market. There will be a ribbon-cutting and giveaways throughout the day.

Exhibit Hall plans celebration

ROBERSONVILLE — The Robersonville Exhibit Hall will host an American 250th Birthday Celebration from 1:30 p.m. — 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18.

An Opening Ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. followed by Mark Price portraying Benjamin Franklin from 2-3 p.m. at town hall.

Activities for children, an art show and car show will be held from 3-5:30 p.m.

Mental Health Community Event slated

ROBERSONVILLE — A Mental Health Community Family Event is planned for 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 18 at the Robersonville Recreation Park.

The event is to support, educate and empower — “together we can break the stigma.”

The event will be hosted by Full Gospel Way of the Cross in Robersonville.

There will be guest speakers focused on mental wellness, interactive discussions, resources for families, fun activities and food.

Manning Room rules change

WILLIAMSTON — The rules for use of The Manning Room at the Asa Biggs House have changed.

Those wishing to visit the room can now do so without having a member of the Martin County Historical Society present.

The room can be visited from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. each Monday through Thursday.

HSE classes available

High School Equivalency classes are available during the day in Windsor, Williamston and Robersonville.

When funds are available, assistance may be given to qualified students to help with testing fees. Each test is $26 and there are four tests needed for completion of the High School Equivalency. All basic skills classes are free.
