Some miles aren’t about pace. They’re about connection, remembrance, and community. 🌾

This year, Fit2Perform is honored to be both a sponsor and a TEAM in the Good Grief Run & Walk supporting Empty Arms Vermont.

Empty Arms VT provides compassionate support for individuals and families whose babies have died through miscarriage, stillbirth, early infant death, or termination for medical reasons. Through connection, resources, and community, they help grieving parents navigate the days, weeks, and lifetime that follow loss 💜 reminding them they are not alone.

The Good Grief Run & Walk is built around the belief that movement and community can be healing. We gather not to “get over” grief, but to honor stories, hold space, and walk beside one another.

💛 Whether you’re remembering a loved one, supporting a friend, standing in solidarity, or simply showing up for community, this event welcomes you.

How you can help:
• Join our 5K walk/run team - TEAM FIT2PERFORM
• Donate to Team FIT2PERFORM help us reach our fundraising goal of $2000
• Share this post to spread awareness

Every step helps support families navigating pregnancy and infant loss and strengthens the compassionate community Empty Arms Vermont continues to build.

At Fit2Perform, we specialize in women’s health & pelvic floor rehab for:
Pregnancy • Postpartum • Pelvic Pain • Incontinence • Prolapse • Core & Pressure Management • Return to an Active Life • And so much more!

And we get it ✌️ because we work with active women every day.
Not leaking during errands or avoiding movement isn’t the only goal - you want more!
Being able to lift your kids, play on the floor, keep up with grandkids, exercise confidently, enjoy intimate relationships and move through life without pain or worry ➡️ that’s the goal.

Most traditional women’s health care stops at “functional.”
We believe your life deserves more than the minimum.

✔️ Progressive pelvic floor & core rehab that goes beyond quick fixes and Kegels
✔️ Strength-based care designed for real-life demands - not just clinic exercises
✔️ Guidance for lifting, impact, and daily movement without fear
✔️ Phase-based recovery that builds capacity, not dependence on therapy
✔️ One-on-one sessions where your goals and lifestyle lead the plan
✔️ A modern, supportive space that meets you where you are - and helps you move forward

Why settle for “manageable symptoms”
when you’re meant to live fully, move confidently, and trust your body again?

If you’re navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, pelvic floor symptoms, or long-standing discomfort ✅
you deserve care that evolves with your life.

We’re here to support every phase, every milestone, every season -
until you’re not just coping…
you’re living well.

SEE BELOW For Details:

➡️ We all miss Dr. Katie!! She is enjoying her maternity leave and will be back early this summer. In the meantime, Elizabeth Mauntler will be filling in for her and covering F2P pelvic health clients as well as incoming new clients with orthopedic and spine conditions.

➡️ WELCOME ELIZABETH MAUNTLER!!!

Elizabeth Mauntler, PT, OCS, Dip. MDT, graduated from the University of Vermont in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2016. She became certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy in 2021 and attained Diploma status in November of 2023.

She first became interested in physical therapy as a high school athlete undergoing two ACL surgeries. As injuries at any age can be emotionally and physically trying, Elizabeth now credits these events with leading her into the field of rehab and fostering a desire to help individuals of all abilities return to what they love.

Elizabeth has worked and volunteered with adaptive sports programs in New England and Colorado, and these experiences continue to inspire her to share the power of physical activity with patients of all ages and abilities. A longtime proponent of wholistic health and the value of integrating multiple modalities, she is both a certified Lymphedema and Massage Therapist. As a mother of two, she became interested in pelvic health and has completed training through Herman and Wallace in this area.

Outside of physical therapy, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters, and spoiled 3-year-old Vizsla. She stays active in all seasons with running, mountain biking, and skiing.

➡️ Good Luck Dr. KC Bruch! KC will be ending at Fit2Perform mid Feb and starting her next post grad learning experience. We have enjoyed having KC for her first 3 years and wish her luck as she experiences new challenges.
☑️ Note: Dr. Erin is available and will be accepting all of KC’s clients. Her schedule will be opening up and accommodating more hours M-F. Current clients will be prioritized and both KC and Erin have worked hard to communicate on care plans.

Calling all FEMALE ATHLETES! It’s time to include your PELVIC FLOOR in the conversation about your amazing power as an A.T.H.L.E.T.E.

What is the pelvic floor exactly?
The pelvic floor is the group of muscles that sits between your two pelvic bones supporting not only organ function, control of bowel/bladder, sexual function but also STABILITY the hip and spine!!
It also works with your diaphragm to influence your breath and intra abdominal pressure. Have you heard of bracing your core? If you’re an athlete, I bet you have! This cannot be done without your pelvic floor.

If you do not have awareness and control of your pelvic floor it can lead to:

- incontinence during exercise
- pelvic pain
- constipation
- hip and back pain
- strength imbalances
- ineffective breath
- weakness or difficulty lifting weights
- lack of confidence in athletics
- altered performance in athletics

In a study published by the NIH, out of 679 women of fertile age, practicing recreational sports activity, 31% reported Urinary Incontinence (UI) during sports activity and 47.5% during daily life. Even more alarming, 10% of women abandoned their favorite sport because of UI and 20% limited their sport to avoid episodes of leakage!
What does this mean? You are not alone and we should be talking about this as openly as shoulder health, deadlifting form and squat depth!

If you have been struggling or think you might be struggling with pelvic floor dysfunction - reach out to Fit2Perform today for and assessment and treatment PLAN.
