Emulsifiers are sometimes needed in making food products. For example, eggs are a natural emulsifier and help to mix oil-based with water-based ingredients. However, we must be careful to "ok" all emulsifiers as many have harmful effects on our microbiome and ultimately on our health.

Remember the less ingredients the better when it comes to reading the nutrition label.
