🌟 Empowering Seniors Expo: Education, Connection and Community 🌟

The Empowering Seniors Expo brought together seniors, caregivers and community partners for a day focused on health, wellness and aging well.

Texas Health team members from Trauma Services, Emergency Services, Stroke Services, the Breast Center, Heart & Vascular, Physical Therapy and several other departments were on hand to share valuable health information, screenings and resources. Attendees also explored MARGE, MILTON and MILO, our larger-than-life inflatable educational exhibits that make learning about the digestive system, lungs and heart both fun and memorable.

The event was made possible with the help of more than 30 Texas Health Community Time Off (CTO) volunteers, who welcomed guests and helped ensure a great experience throughout the day.

A special thank you to Texas Health Burleson and Texas Health Willow Park for sponsoring transportation, making it easier for seniors to attend and benefit from the event's valuable resources and educational opportunities.

Together, we're helping empower older adults with the knowledge, support and connections they need to live healthier, more independent lives. ❤️

Texas Health shares what women should know about menopause and hormone replacement therapy, including common symptoms, treatment options and when to talk with your doctor.

For years, many women heard a simple message about hormone replacement therapy (HRT): avoid it. That message was passed down from mothers, grandmothers and even some doctors. Today, the guidance looks very different, and a lot of women are left wondering what is actually true.

From colleagues to friends and sources of strength. 💙

When Texas Health Southwest colleagues Christal Miller and Laura Rasor both faced cancer diagnoses, they leaned on each other for support. Their shared experience transformed a workplace connection into a powerful friendship built on resilience, encouragement and hope.
Read their story in Fort Worth magazine:

Last year, Christal Miller and Laura Rasor were diagnosed with aggressive forms of cancer nearly back-to-back — but through their battles, they also became stronger individuals and closer friends.

Please join us in congratulating Ashley McCaleb, Admissions Specialist (pictured on the right). Ashley has just been awarded Employee of the Quarter at Texas Health Willow Park. She is a star to all of us who work with her and to those she encounters daily.

Noting that some of her great gifts include, "going above and beyond in her duties as a patient access representative". Also relayed in her nomination form was how Ashley thinks strategically and acts fast so that the patient can receive immediate care, thus not only representing the Texas Health Promise, but living it daily. Well done, Ashley!
