Womb centering + realigning the womb 🌺

This is a traditional technique I learned from indigenous midwives in Cotacachi, Ecuador, with alongside my dear friend .lunamae .✨

The womb can shift slightly after intense exercise, rough or deep s*x, falls, postpartum changes, or even prolonged stress. When this happens, some women experience cramping, irregular bleeding, pelvic heaviness, discomfort during intimacy, or just a sense of feeling “off” in their body.

Womb centering is a gentle, hands-on way of assessing position and encouraging the womb back to alignment ; physically and energetically. It’s about reconnecting a woman to her core and restoring balance.

In this video, I’m sharing the why.
In Part 2, we’ll demonstrate how it’s done.

If you’re postpartum, on a fertility journey, or wanting to feel more grounded in your womb space, this work is powerful.

There’s something so sacred about aunties witnessing birth and postpartum care. 🫶🏾✨

In this video, my client’s aunty is interviewing her niece about her experience… and the laughter says it all. So much love. So much ease. So much joy.

She shared that the womb steam felt like the ultimate spa treatment; warm, grounding, deeply restorative. Not just physically soothing, but emotionally releasing too. That’s the beauty of intentional postpartum care… it turns recovery into ritual.

And hearing her speak about the ease of her second home birth? Whew. That’s what preparation, trust, and holistic support can do. When the body feels safe, it opens. When the womb is honored, it responds.✨

Birth doesn’t have to feel chaotic. Postpartum doesn’t have to feel neglected.✨

This is what it looks like when women are supported, celebrated, and cared for, by family and by tradition. 🤍

People often ask me how I became a doula, especially because I don’t have children of my own. This moment meant everything. Sitting with my client’s aunty, being witnessed, seen, and honored for the work I do.

Doula work isn’t about personal experience alone, it’s about devotion, learning, and showing up with humility. Thankful for her witnessing my work and offering recognition that feels ancestral. This is why I do what I do.

You don’t need to give birth to be devoted to birth. You just need reverence, calling, and love for women. Grateful beyond words for elders who recognize this work and hold it with respect. ✨

Belly binding is more than a wrap ; it’s a ritual of restoration.

In this training, my students learn traditional Bengkung belly binding as it’s been practiced across cultures to support postpartum healing. This isn’t about “snatching” the waist , it’s about supporting the womb, organs, spine, and nervous system as the body closes, stabilizes, and remembers itself after birth.

In our doula training, you’ll learn:
✨ The anatomy and energetics of the postpartum body
✨ How to properly wrap, and support different body types
✨ When belly binding is appropriate (and when it’s not)
✨ How to integrate binding with bone closing, womb care, and emotional holding
✨ The cultural and spiritual significance behind the practice

This work is slow, intentional, and rooted in ancestral wisdom , the kind of care every mother deserves.

Birth work is earth work! A well rested mama results in a healthy, well cared for baby!

During my postpartum healing sessions, bone closing sessions my clients usually end up calling asleep as I swaddle them in kourziya cloths 😌.

The closing of the bones ceremony is literally as the name implies. It’s an opportunity for the new mom to be nurtured and symbolizes the closing of the pregnancy and birth phase of her journey! At the same time, it gives the mom a chance to mentally closing our the pregnancy and birth chapter of motherhood and transition into the postpartum period.

On a physical level, this closing ceremony literally closes the bones of the postpartum body, adjusting the spine and releasing any tension that developed in the lower back and pelvis during pregnancy.

In addition to bone closing, my clients experience belly binding, food prep, herbal teas, and womb steaming!
