Sometimes healing looks like tears.
This morning, I was reminded that grief and love often travel together. We can be moving through an ordinary day and suddenly find ourselves overwhelmed by a memory, a feeling, or the absence of someone we deeply love.
Many people believe strength means holding it all together.
But sometimes strength means allowing yourself to feel.
Allowing yourself to cry.
Allowing yourself to remember.
Allowing yourself to honor the people who helped shape your life.
Healing is not the absence of grief. Healing is giving yourself permission to experience it without shame.
If today is one of those days for you, be gentle with yourself.
Take a deep breath.
Say their name.
Remember their smile.
Honor their impact.
Love never truly leaves us.
