For 15 years, he**in took me to places I never imagined I'd go. And while the chaos, consequences, and devastation might be what makes someone stop and listen, that's not the message I want them to leave with.

For years, I convinced myself I wasn't the problem. I was just having a bad day, a bad week, a bad run. Tomorrow would be different.
But tomorrow kept looking exactly like yesterday.
On May 25th, 2015, I walked into my 13th inpatient treatment center, having lost just about everything.
What changed wasn't my circumstances. It was my willingness to finally approach life with an open mind and an open heart.
And that willingness saved my life.
