Today, we honor Juneteenth, a celebration of freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equity for all.
As we reflect on the end of slavery in the United States, we also recognize that true freedom means ensuring every person has access to opportunity, community, self-determination, and full participation in society.
At NCSILC, we remain committed to advancing independent living, disability rights, and equity across North Carolina. We celebrate the contributions of Black leaders, advocates, and communities whose work continues to move us toward a more inclusive future.
Freedom is not just a moment in history, it is a responsibility we carry forward together.
