Melissa Ruhl is celebrating 15 years with Liberty Health!

“Having been with Liberty for over 15 years has afforded me the opportunity to gain a level of institutional knowledge that I'm able to use to better understand how various puzzle pieces fit together across different departments and divisions.

Given that the majority of my job entails overseeing the administration of the Learning Management System, Healthcare Academy, that is used across multiple divisions, knowing how various technical systems affect the operation of the LMS is very helpful, especially when it comes to troubleshooting or answering end-user questions on why things appear as they do in the program.

Also, having interacted with staff from most of our divisions over the past 15+ years has allowed me to get to know so many colleagues from different professional areas and glean a bit of insight into what it takes to do their jobs. I appreciate being able to learn from others in this way and it's something that only comes with company longevity.”

Every donation has the power to save lives. ❤️

Silver Bluff Village was proud to partner with the American Red Cross for a community blood drive, collecting 26 units of blood and welcoming three first-time donors.

We are incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff and local supporters who helped make this event such a success. The response was truly inspiring, and we're excited to share that another blood drive is already in the works!

Monica Bartle is celebrating five years with Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center!

“I have had the opportunity to serve in a variety of roles within nursing administration. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I oversaw facility-wide testing, managed years of state mandatory daily documentation, and organized the facility's first COVID-19 vaccination clinics for patients, staff and families. Over the years, I transitioned into admissions and ultimately into patient referrals, appointments, and transportation coordination for outpatient services including dialysis, surgeries and routine medical care.

As a mother of two young sons and two adult daughters, I value the family-focused culture within our facility that has allowed me to build a rewarding career while maintaining balance within my personal life. My favorite part of working for Oak Forest/Liberty Health is the incredible team I work alongside every day. We are like pieces of a puzzle - each bringing unique strengths and together creating a successful caring home for our residents."
